How to Sign Up or Sign in

A guide for all users to create a new Folktale account or sign in to an existing one using a secure email link.

🎯 Who is this for?

This guide is for anyone creating a new Folktale account or signing in to an existing one. No password is required. Folktale uses a secure email link to verify your identity each time you sign in.


Step One: Enter Your Email Address

  1. Go to the Folktale Sign In page.
  2. Enter your email address in the field provided and click Send a link to my email.

Step Two: Check Your Email

Folktale will send an email to the address you entered. What you receive depends on whether this is your first time using Folktale.


New users

If you are a new user, you will receive an email to verify your email address. Follow the link in the email to confirm your address and create your account.

Returning users

If you already have an existing account, you will receive a Sign In Request email. Click the Sign in to Folktale button to continue.

💡 Tip: Check your spam or junk folder if the email does not arrive within a few minutes. The sign-in link expires after a short period — if it has expired, return to the Sign In page and request a new one.


Step Three: Choose Whether to Stay Signed In

  1. After clicking the link in your email, you will be asked whether to stay signed in on your current device.
  2. Tick Keep me signed in on this device if you are on a personal or trusted device and do not want to repeat this step on your next visit. Leave it unticked if you are on a shared or public device.
  3. Click Continue to proceed to your account.


Done

🎉 Congratulations! You have successfully signed in to your Folktale account.

You will be taken to your Folktale Account Dashboard, where you can access your campaigns and workspace.
